When formulating feed for turkeys, it is important to have their nutritional requirements in mind. This is because the feed to be formulated must contain the nutrients the turkeys need. If the feed doesn’t meet the standard requirements, the turkeys will not perform well.

Calcium – 1.2%
Methionine – 0.55%
Lysine – 1.6%

Nutritional requirements of turkey poult (4 to 8 Weeks Old)

Metabolizable Energy (ME) – 2900 Kcal/kg
Crude Protein (CP) – 26%
Calcium – 1.0%
Methionine – 0.45%
Lysine – 1.5%
Sodium – 0.15%
Av. Phosphorus – 0.5%

Nutritional requirements of turkey grower (8 to 12 Weeks Old)

Metabolizable Energy (ME) – 3000 Kcal/kg
Crude Protein (CP) – 22%
Calcium – 0.85%
Methionine – 0.4%
Lysine – 1.3%
Sodium – 0.12%
Av. Phosphorus – 0.42%
